I am a Master’s student in Computational Neuroscience at the Bernstein Center for Computational Neuroscience Berlin. I also work as a research assistant in the Neural Data Science and Statistical Computing Group at the Max Planck Institute for Human Cognitive and Brain Sciences, privileged to be working under the guidance of Nico Scherf alongside an amazing team.

I am interested in biological neural information processing, and I study how both biological and artificial neural networks process information. Broadly, my work sits within Computational Neuroscience, with particular interests in neuroconnectionism and NeuroAI. During my Master’s, I have worked on several NeuroAI projects. My longest lab rotation focused on autoregressive audio models, supervised by brilliant Greta Tuckute, who is also supervising my Master’s thesis. In another lab rotation, I worked on brain-informed neural networks with super talented Anuja Negi and dear Fatma Deniz.

Before starting my master’s, I did a double major in Molecular Biology and Genetics/Software Engineering. During my undergraduate studies, I contributed to rare-disease gene-therapy projects at TRGENMER under Cihan Tastan, and completed a summer internship at UCL’s Centre for Medical Image Computing, developing multimodal predictive approaches for Alzheimer’s disease with Neil Oxtoby and Maetrei Kohli.
